Made in Italy luxury scarves
A family legacy of dedication
Founded in 1949 by Faliero Sarti, the Lanificio was born in the heart of Prato, cradle of Italy’s textile tradition. From the very beginning, the company stood out for its innovative vision: enhancing the emerging fashion market through carefully selected raw materials, meticulous craftsmanship and an unwavering commitment to quality. Faliero Sarti was among the first in the district to introduce jersey knit fabric production, anticipating the needs of an increasingly discerning and sophisticated clientele.
Over the years, a solid and integrated production system took shape, laying the foundations for what is now an internationally renowned textile enterprise.
The strength of values, the value of time
With more than seventy years of history, Lanificio Faliero Sarti continues to evolve under the sign of family. Under the guidance of Roberto Sarti, son of the founder, the company has consolidated its growth over the decades, preserving the creative spirit and pursuit of excellence that have made it famous worldwide.
Today, under its third generation, the Sarti family renews its bond with the textile world and passes on its core values – respect, passion and dedication – reinterpreting them through a contemporary lens.
Thus, the generational transition becomes not only an act of continuity, but a transmission of identity, enabling the company to blend craftsmanship with innovation in the ongoing redefinition of Made in Italy luxury.
A pioneering vision
As early as the 1960s, Faliero Sarti understood how to transform fabric into a sensorial experience.
At a time when textiles were viewed merely as the interweaving of warp and weft, the company explored their emotional and visual dimension, turning fabric into a living material, a true expressive body.
Renowned photographers such as Javier Vallhonrat and Steven Meisel have brought this pioneering vision to life, portraying through artistic imagery a sophisticated, sensual femininity, where the boundary between dressed and undressed becomes a language of aesthetics. Through these collaborations, the Lanificio redefined the very codes of textile communication, elevating it to a form of contemporary art.
It thus became a benchmark for leading Italian and international designers and fashion houses, including Giorgio Armani, Ann Demeulemeester, Gianfranco Ferrè, Jean Paul Gaultier, Romeo Gigli, Donna Karan, Hiroko Koshino, Les Copains, Moschino, Dries Van Noten, Versace and Vivienne Westwood.

The art of know-how
Lanificio Faliero Sarti stands out for its fully integrated production cycle, ensuring control, speed and customization at every stage.
From warping to weaving, from in-house finishing to the quality control laboratory, each step is carried out with utmost precision and expertise.
“Our strength lies in vertical integration: we can oversee the entire production process, from yarn to finished fabric, ensuring quality and coherence at every level.”
The company spans over 16,000 square meters, organized into specialized departments: warping, knotting, orthogonal weaving, circular knitting, repair workshop, finishing and quality control.
Historical archive
At the heart of the Lanificio lies a historic archive, representing over seventy years of textile heritage. Thousands of samples, sketches and materials trace the evolution of fibers, techniques and trends, offering an inexhaustible source of inspiration for designers and collaborators.
It is not merely an archive, but a living dialogue between past and future, where tradition becomes a wellspring for new interpretations of fabric and contemporary luxury.
